faq’s!

Where are you located? We are located just 5 miles from I-25 in South Longmont. The property has 2 driveways, please use the one marked with a Sugarhill Studio sign when pulling in.

How do I find availability? Choose the “BOOK” tab on the site. Once there, choose and appointment type, select a date and the available time slots will pop up!

Can I arrive early or stay later than my booking time? Your time in the studio begins PROMPTLY at the time of your reservation and ends at PROMPTLY at the end time of your booking. The bookings are back to back so you need to be cleaned up and out of the studio for the next renter. If you are thinking you might run over and there is not another booking directly after yours, you can stay as long as you have had direct communication with us to verify there is no one coming in after you and you will be billed afterwards. You can always text/call!

Do you have studio lighting available? Unfortunately, no we do not. If you are coming in after the “natural light” time of day, you will need to bring your own studio lighting.

Do you have any furniture? Yes, we have a permanent bed and we are constantly swapping out furniture with our partners Wallflower Rentals and Decor! Check our Instagram for the latest! Need something specific? Wallflower Rentals offers special pricing for anything you rent from them with free delivery and pickup from the studio!

Do you have any different backdrops? Yes, we have black, cream and grey seamless paper and a moveable stand. We also have a 12x12 moveable wall that we rotate out changing each side. Check out our IG for the latest colors!

Can I bring in my own props? YES! And we hope you do! We have a large garage door that makes bringing larger pieces into the studio very easy.

When is the light the best? We have East & West facing windows so the light is nice and diffused most of the day but if you like some rays of sun shining through the windows the later afternoon light is very dreamy!

Can we rent the studio for styled shoots, events or workshops? Yes! We are all for small events happening here! We’d like to keep the numbers to under 15 participants but please email us with any questions!

Can we rent the studio “after hours”? Yes, if you aren’t in need of natural light you can rent the space in the evening hours. Please email us!

Can we shoot outside of the studio? Yes, the studio is located on our private property and you are more than welcome to shoot outdoors as well! We ask that you do not shoot inside any latched gated areas, but everywhere else is free range!

Do you have styled sets? YES! This is our specialty! We team up with local vendors to create various styled sets throughout the year!

Is there a limit on the amount of people in the studio? Yes, we limit your individual bookings to 8 people. If you have special circumstances we can absolutely accommodate you. Please contact us!

Can I cancel my appointment? We do not offer cancellations or refunds, only rescheduling. You may reschedule your booking via your confirmation link up to 48 hours prior to your booking time. If your rental time is in 24 hours you must contact us directly. You may not receive credit if you are within the 24 hour time frame.

Do you allow pets in the studio? This is on a case by case basis! We LOVE furry babies, but please email us if you are thinking of bringing someone special.
